  1. Change Your Eating Habits

Sheela Seharawat say, start with the 3-2-1 formula. 3 meals a day, 2 snacks in between and atleast 1 liter of water in a day. It might seem a lot of food in this ratio, but actually it is smaller portions. Eat only half a portion than your regular usual servings. Eating regularly will ensure that your metabolism is working all the times and you are full at all times. This way you will never be hungry and will never reach out for unhealthy food options. Water will also aid in weight loss by cleansing the body of all he unnecessary toxin and waste built ups.

  1. Breastfeeding

According to researches breastfeeding alone helps burning 300 to 500 calories in a day. It is almost equivalent to completing thirty laps of a standard size pool. It’s quite a bit, isn’t it? None the less, it not only burns calories, but also is good for the baby’s immunity, growth and development. Even you can think of increasing your calories intake to cope up with the calorie burning due to breastfeeding.

  1. Do make sure to rest well

Sleep is something that is very critical for weight loss, because lack of sleep will never allow the body to be at its peak of performance. With a new born it might be difficult to get a sound night sleep, so the best way is to sleep along with your baby. Whenever, your baby is sleeping you also get to sleep. The body needs quality rest, and if it does not gets the same, it will suffer of bad health. When you are tired, the body releases cortisol – a stress hormone. This cortisol promotes weight gain and moreover, when you are tired you are stressed out and you will never feel good.

  1. Watch what you eat

Apart from eating meals at regular intervals, it is important that you mind what you eat. Fast foods, sugary foods, high salted foods, trans and saturated foods do no good for your weight loss and neither your overall health. Eat a lot of whole grains. Whole grain foods are loaded with fiber that will keep your digestion working and keep you full and satiated always. Choose whole grain foods instead of white bread and for breakfast opt for whole grain cereals instead of regular cereals and choco flakes.
